Lovable and washable August 22, 2008
I bought 4 of these, two pink and two ivory, for my twin girls. Doubling up is important as they need washing often when getting drooled and spit-up on. They wash very well in a wash bag - they stay super soft and plush looking. Directions say to hang-dry, and they are minimal enough that they dry within a few hours. They are small, but I think the perfect size for a "lovey". The bear is cute as can be. The satin edges are perfect for those tactile babies/kids who like to rub it between their fingers. The ivory is very nice looking, classy. The pink is not too bright, nice and soft. The price makes it easy to buy more than one.

There are so many of this type of animal/blankies out there, but this one definitely stands alone. First, the bear is diminutive so as not to overwhelm a young baby. The bear's eyes and nose are stitched just like a classic, well-made teddy and the fur is soft and sweet. The blankie part is super soft and just the right size for baby and toddler (no dragging on the floor getting dirty). I love the ivory color, too. As another reviewer said, it goes well with any outfit and even dressy clothes. It washes well and I know it will always look good in pictures. The low price allows for buying multiples and I would certainly feel confident giving this item as a gift to picky parents. A wonderful find!

I bought one of these for a new acquaitance of my husband's who had a new baby. I was looking for something cute but cheap. This turned out to be one of the best gifts ever and would make a great gift package ornament, too. The babies love them and tend to want to take them everywhere. Yes, they are smaller than expected but good things come in small packages, as they say, and are just right for a tiny baby to hold. They are very soft. My husband keeps asking me to buy more as our friends have babies and now he's asking me to buy a supply for his clients who have babies. I like the cream one best because it looks cute when it's time for baby to dress up and goes well with anything. My original reason for ordering was because my children derived so much pleasure from their security blankets and these seemed to be something that would be easier for their parents to deal with when it was time to go out and would be easier to hand wash so as to preserve them for their little darlings. Now it's just because everyone loves them. I hope they are still around for my grandchildren to enjoy. Helpful hint for new parents, security blankets should always be purchased in twos and should always have a soft satiny trim, like this little guy's trim, to rub on your nose.

I bought this for a new baby niece - and was very happy with it. It is smaller than it looks in the picture, but that's okay because it will be carried everywhere she goes, I'm sure. The fabric is very, VERY soft!
