 Shocked at size October 30, 2008
My daughter is a school teacher and she buys this book at a regular book store for a lot of her friends with kids. I noticed it was only $1.50 on Amazon so I bought several copies to give to needy children for Christmas. I was shocked when the book came and it was only about 3" x 3". I just looked at the current listing and it says the dimensions are 9.9" x 4.9". That is not the size of the book I received. This is the first time I have had this happen with Amazon.

Purple Green and Yellow is on my top 5 list of favorite Robert Munsch books. His cleverness is almost unsurpassed.
 Not for 2 year olds September 28, 2008
My 2 year old loves this book, but I should never have read it to her. It has encouraged her to color her fingernails and fingers. She doesn't understand the point at the end of the story because she's too young. I also don't like that Brigid lacks manners, but used this book as a teaching tool about how we need to say "please" and "thank you" and not be demanding. Although I like most Munsch books some aren't appropriate for really young children.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the description, but I didn't realize this was a minibook about the size of a chocolate chip cookie. The story is too juvenile for my niece who can read and is into anything small and the small print, lots of text and tiny pictures don't work for my four year old.
Perfect for air travel! April 18, 2008
I bought this book for my 3 1/2yr old daughter for a recent flight. The tiny book was just right for her carry-on bag! She loved the funny story too. It was definitely a hit for her.
