I bought this for both my boys! It is the best deal on the net and if I have another child, I will buy again (maybe with a different cover).
Guess How Much I Love this book? April 26, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We had searched everywhere for a book in which to record our baby's special information. Since baby is due October 22, we wanted to get one we could fill in with family information, and continue to fill in once he/she is born. A lot of the books we found had religious connotations which we didnt want, or the illustrations were not to our liking, or the layout just wasnt appealing. We love the fact that this book is laid out from the baby's point of view instead of a parent's like all the others we looked at. The illustrations are soft and appealing, and the little characters are totally loveable without being too cutesy and sweet. We think our little one will enjoy reading about himself once he/she gets old enough, and we sure are having fun filling in the information!
Not What I Look For In A Baby Book November 6, 1999 2 out of 20 found this review helpful
I have always enjoyed the book Guess How Much I Love You and thus ordered the baby book for our new child. The book is very traditional and although I enjoy the illustrations and the story lines, I was dissapointed with it as a baby book. There is not even a space for any religious ceremonies, like baptism. The space for a birth announcement is extremely small, and there is not even a space for Baby's First Haircut. It also leaves little room for creativity, pictures and adding your own baby memories. I ended up ordering another baby book.
One of my favorite children's book ever... September 24, 1999 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a new mom I thought the book captured the overwhelming love a parent has towards their child. I don't agree with other people's reviews that said they thought the book was disturbing because the parent was trying to top the child's feelings therefore making him feel inferior. It's a book people! Let's not over-analyze a simple, innocent story.
