lift the flap for fun with the Backyardigans! March 2, 2008 Another great book with our favorite characters, the Backyardigans! Unfortunately, all the flaps have been torn off, and that wouldn't matter so much except that there was text on some of them, and now we can't read it.
Fun, But Not Thrilling November 14, 2006 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
"Tasha's Tea Party" is a board-book version of the "Backyardigans" episode "High Tea." In this story, the Backyardigans are on a quest to make the perfect cup of tea. They'll need the perfect tea leaves, a teapot and the perfect hot water.
I've never though that "Backyardigans" stories work as well in books as they do on TV. The show relies heavily on music and strong visuals, plus great humor, little of which comes across well in the books. The books are decent summarizations of what's on TV, some better than others. This one has flaps to lift, which make it kind of fun. Still, I'd say pass on this and you or your kids can just enjoy the TV version.
Then again, if your kids would get entertainment out this, then go for it. But there are other books that do this better.
Children love it August 14, 2006 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
My twins love the flaps and it is a cute a colorful book. They love the backyardigans so that helps.
