Amazon.com Review Creator and engineer of the elegant Color Surprises and Black Cat, White Cat: A Pop-Up Book of Opposites, Chuck Murphy has also crafted an amazingly simple yet beautiful counting book, One to Ten: Pop-Up Surprises! This counting book doesn't mess around with fancy rhymes or cutesy sheep--open the first spread and you'll see a bold, fat number one--white on black--right next to a bold black number two on a white page. Pull the number one down, and one tropical spotted frog swims off the page! Lift and turn the number two to the right, and two toucans pop out from a leafy nest. Three colorful beetles crawl out of the number three with the slide of a tab. You get the idea--Murphy's almost breathtaking pop-up surprises take readers all the way to the number ten. Pop-up book collectors and budding bean counters alike will revel in this instructive, interactive masterpiece. (Ages 4 and older) --Karin Snelson
Product Description Striking black-and-white numbers open up to unveil colorful and exciting delights, in a special wordless, action-packed counting book that moves from one leaping frog to ten cheering children.

Beautiful and pretty durable for a pop-up September 22, 2008 We bought this book two years ago and cannot count how many times we read it. Beautiful colors and my child LOVED the book, Great buy!
Beautiful pop up book July 11, 2008 A very simple concept. No text, just numbers and beautiful pop-up pictures. Simple but lovely to look at.
Very cool book May 18, 2008 Really like the style of this counting book. With the black and white visuals opening up to colourful animal popups. Just one error would be the 10 shows as a 0 before it is opened...which is a bit confusing ...7,8,9,0?
AWESOME BOOKS December 13, 2007 These books are awesome. I have actually bought six sets of both one to ten and color surprise. I have four children so one for each of them during the early years and also as gifts for best friends. I recommend them because for one, I never get tired of looking at the vibrant pictures and they capture the children's attention as well. They are educational as well as engaging. I highly recommend them.
Another winner from Chuck Murphy August 9, 2007 My baby loves this book, especially the final pop-up for the number ten. She squeals with delight as I turn the pages. However, I think Color Surprises: A Pop-up Book is a slightly sturdier book. The large numbers which the reader opens on each page are a little flimsy.
