Safe, effective sun shade for little ones! June 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Sunshine Kids Cool Shade is our second car shade purchase. After junking the Eddie Bauer "Cling" SunShade (stay away!), we opted for the Sunshine Kids sight unseen.
And so glad we did!
The Sunshine Kids has a dark tint, really sticks to the window, enables us to roll the windows down and is inexpensive. Most importantly, it is safer than shades with suction cups, which can become a projectile in the case of an accident.
What more could you ask for?
The only issue is that because the tint is so dark (which of course is what makes it effective), we initially had some trouble with compromised visibility while backing up. Once we got used to it, however, it was smooth sailing, er, driving! A worthwhile purchase indeed.
Works great... April 10, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Alright, so these really do a great job of keeping out the sun, but boy are they ugly. I had a hard time putting them up straight and keeping out the bubbles. Make sure your windows are not cold when you apply them, otherwise they won't stick.
I like them because, like I said, they kept the sun out of my son's eyes, but they are an eyesore. At least from the inside of the car. Maybe that's my fault, I don't know.
I wish they could make these like real static cling that you can dip into water then squeegee them onto the window.
Also, be careful when you look behind you, when you change lanes. These darken the windows a lot and it is sometimes difficult to see through.
Great product February 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have a two door car with rear windows that don't roll down. This product replaced two Fisher Price self tinting film sun screens. After a few months, those would no longer become dark in the sun. This product has been great. The only tricky part is smoothing all of the air bubbles out during installation. If done properly, these will stick fine. We have had no problem with them coming off and the dark tint keeps the sun out of junior's eyes. Highly recommended product, but shipping makes it a little expensive. Not sure how well these work on windows that roll down.
So-So October 27, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product does one thing right...it does block the sun well.
However, it's annoying to put it on. I had trouble with it bubbling and with getting it on straight. Also, it doesn't cover a whole window, so the sun still gets in around it. But for the area it covers, it does a good job of blocking the sun.
Perfect for Southern California February 24, 2007 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Even though I have tinted windows, that late afternoon and early morning sun was beaming straight into my sons eyes. These are perfect. I followed the directions, kept the other reviewers comments in mind and even though there are a few bubbles, I really don't care.
The only tiny complaint I have is that NO WHERE on AMAZON in the product description does it say you are not supposed to roll your windows down; as it states in the product instructions. However, since they are pretty inexpensive if they come off I can buy new ones or just get limo tint on my SUV.
