The Diplomat has all of the fantastic features of the Britax Boulevard, but comes in a smaller size for more compact vehicles. The differences between the two convertible car seats can be found in weight capacity, seat height and seat width. The Diplomat is both rear and forward facing and is suitable for a child weighing up to 40 pounds, whereas the Boulevard is a Britax convertible car seat which can support a child weighing up to 65 pounds. Proper positioning helps keep your child secure in the car, and that's why the Diplomat is chock full of features that ensure your child is seated and strapped in at the safest angle. An easy-turn knob quickly adjusts headrest and harness height without requiring you to uninstall the seat, while the tangle-free, five-point harness ensures a snug and secure fit at multiple heights. There's also a rear-and forward-facing recline option and soft body pillow for child comfort and proper positioning. The Companion also gives you additional peace of mind by featuring engineered True Side Impact ProtectionTM. Love the seat. It fits in the car well. I wish that the crotch strap were adjustable. Other than that - it's 100% spot-on.

I am so pleased with this seat! I had read all the reviews and done a bunch of research, but the actual product is so much better than I could have hoped for. I am so glad that I decided to spend a little bit more and get the Diplomat...my daughter is so comfortable, the seat is so secure, and it is SO easy to install and adjust. It is also a really attractive seat. It fits really well in all cars small and large, even in the rear facing, reclined position. If you are still hesitant on this carseat, definitely go for it...you won't regret it!

It's a fancy seat. The side impact protection is what sold me. It goes well in Grandma's Luxury Lexus SUV. I'm afraid it'll get destroyed in my Toyota Sienna van with the usually food, drink and mishaps.

So happy I got these seats, as I bought 2! Very sturdy when installed, and it isn't hard to instal or remove! We have a Scion XB (2008 model, not smaller 2006 model) and a honda civic sedan. I initally wanted the Boulevard, but I wanted to buy the same car seat for both cars, and I knew they were very tall! This seat is perfect for both! It isn't too tall in the civic, but provides great protection for our daughter. One thing I wish it had is the "Click and Save" like the new Boulevard! I often worry about her being in there tight enough, but I guess they will make it at a later date!
