Amazon.com Product Description Natural Choice diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. For the first time a diaper that respects your baby's skin, performs like a super premium diaper, and offers a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Natural Choice offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. The environmental impact of Natural Choice diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. | |

Environmentally-Sensitive Diapers Natural Choice Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created by the production and consumption of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Natural Choice diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Natural Choice diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent matieral with traditional absorbent gel material. Natural materials reduce use of petrochemicals Natural Choice's environmentally-sensitive diaper uses backsheet and topsheet nonwovens that contain 50% Ingeo Fiber. What is Ingeo?? Ingeo? fiber is made from polylactide, a revolutionary new naturally derived material that comes from 100% annually renewable resources not oil. Ingeo represents the lowest carbon footprint polymer available in the world today. The entire manufacturing process from field to polymer uses 68% less fossil resources than comparable petroleum plastics. Natural Choice's environmentally-sensitive Diapers use 20-30% LESS petroleum based materials and 30-40% MORE sustainable materials than the leading brands. If 10% of the disposable diapers in the U.S. were environmentally-sensitive Diapers, it would reduce the consumption of petrochemical based materials by more than 20 million pounds.

Good quality green diapers August 22, 2008 Good absorption, cute design and my son hasn't had a rash since he started wearing these diapers--they're breathable!
Just OK... mostly bad August 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought these because my conscience has been getting the better of me since reading that even though only 5% of the population uses disposable diapers, it is still the 3rd leading contributer to landfills. I wanted to be "environmentally sensitive" to that fact, but these diapers just suck. They are thin and papery, and they leak bad. But my biggest gripe with these is that they don't stay on. My daughter was about 10 months old when we started trying these and even with her pants on over them, they would come off while she was wearing them. Hello? It was torture trying to use them all up, I couldn't wait to get back to Huggies and start looking for another 'sposie alternative (We are now checking into Gdiapers). BOTTOM LINE: I REALLY wanted these to work, but they simply don't. Save yourself the trouble... keep looking.
good value August 7, 2008 These diapers are really affordable for chlorine free diapers. The cost comes out less than huggies from your average market. My only complaint is the width of the waist on these diapers. They are a little slim and my baby isn't even excessively round. Overall good purchase.
good alternative to name brands August 4, 2008 *added a couple weeks after original review below* I am now finding that I think I need to go to a size 6 to see if they fit better. The 5's are coming undone and just don't fit well enough around her belly, due to the lack of stretchy tabs. I am very happy with the absorbancy of these still, though I don't use them overnight, and, if the tabs were stretchy, these would be 10 star diapers for me! Overall I still feel a lot better about using chlorine free, and, the hassle of them coming undone hasn't been enough to stop using the size 5 until they are gone.
original review: I am using size 5 on my 35 lb daughter who just turned 4 a few days ago, and is slim for her height of about 42". I wish I would have thought about using these sooner, since, she is hopefully almost done with diapers! I like how these absorb, they work really well, even when I forget to change her for a while! (she doesn't tell me very often to change her, she doesn't mind being wet or soiled, bummer for us!) I have noticed these smell worse after getting wet, but, it's not that big of a deal to me.
These are more stiff feeling than the name brands, but, not scratchy at all. My daughter has very sensitive skin, and these haven't been a problem for her.
The one drawback to me is the sides at the tabs aren't stretchy like the name brands (luvs) so it's harder to get these to fit right. My daughter is on the slim side, so you'd think these would be plenty big around, but, I'm finding they are a tight fit for her and they don't fit snuggly since they don't have the stretch like the others we used. She doesn't complain about them constricting or hurting her at all though.
I don't find these to be longer than the luvs we used; I remember at least one review said they were longer, but to me they aren't.
I am glad these are enviro. friendly. I am not a fanatic, but do like to do what I can to keep things cleaner. Also, the most important thing to me is them not being bleached with any chemicals that could cause health problems. I wish I would have thought about this earlier, since I used regular name brands up until now!
Overall, a good buy for enviro. diapers, using the auto. ship method, and free shipping! They come out to about 4.5 cents more a diaper than luvs, but, to me, how can you compare the price when one has been bleached with toxic chemicals, and this hasn't? I gladly pay extra for these!
Ask my toddler July 26, 2008 We bought these at a local store while we still had some huggies left over. My daughter is sensitive so I wanted to make sure she had no problems. We gave them a shot, she had no issues in fact she loved them. She did not want her huggies I actually had to hide these until the huggies were gone because of the fits should would throw. If you ask her she loves them!!!
She is a very heavy soaker and has soaked though many diapers in her days these we have had no problem what so ever. I am on Amazon right now to sign up for auto ship. I do not plan on going to back to major brands.
