Great, easy-to-use, formula June 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have been supplementing breast milk with this formula since our son was about 2 weeks old. We got a sample from our pediatrician and have stuck with it since. He has thrived and now that he's 6 months old I will probably switch over to Enfamil completely soon. One caveat, we started with the ready-to-use kind and then when we tried to switch over to the cheaper powder, our baby did not take to that at all. He would get an upset stomach and become (quite contrary to his usual sunny nature) quite cranky. I have read that other babies experience the same problems when they have gotten used to ready-to-use formula (of any kind) so if you want to save yourself some money, you're probaby better off starting with powder from the get-go. I don't mind though and it's easy for us as well.
Excellent formula & good deal March 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good deal on this formula. Free super saver shipping. We take this to daycare and it's very convenient. It's the only formula our daughter would drink. We started by supplementing breastmilk with this.
Constipated our baby! February 23, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
We got the pre-made formula from the hospital and decided to stick with it for occasional supplementing along with breast milk. After the first few weeks, our baby became severely constipated. He couldn't poop for over 2 days and it was a frequent occurance. Also, he often had explosive diarrhea once he was able to finally pass poop. This seems to be common symptom of formulas that contain DHA and ARA. For those parents trying to decide if DHA and ARA is good for their babies, please read the report http://cornucopia.org/DHA/DHA_FullReport.pdf. DHA ARA formula didn't work for us and we decided to pull our baby off the formula immediately.
