 Most economical BPA-free bottle on the market! April 25, 2008
The BPA controvery blew up as my daughter is nearing the 8th inning of her bottle drinking days. After spending a small fortune on expensive bottles when she was born, we were dismayed to find they contain BPA - a potentially cancer causing agent that can leak from the plastic into the contents. We researched our options. Many BPA free bottles are $10+ EACH! These Gerber Fashion Tints are basic, BPA free, and (at least the ones we bought) are stamped "Made in the USA" on the bottom. They fit with our existing Dr. Brown's brand silicone nipples and our daughter didn't even notice the switch. And at just over $1 per bottle, it doesn't cost a fortune to switch brands! (They do come with rubber nipples, which we never used so I can't attest to how well they work.)

I got these bottles because they are BPA free. If you keep the original nipples that come with them, they will leak REALLY bad. We used the left over nipples from our Evenflo Comfi bottles, and there are no leaks now. So, if you don't like leaky nipples, you will want to buy different ones. If you want a bottle that is BPA free, but also doesn't leak, buy the Parent's Choice bottles that say BPA free on the package... they are the best!
