Leaky October 7, 2008 I received 6 momo bottles for my new son and 4 of them leak out of the bottom of the lids...It looks like it come down the threading of the lid. It dosent just drip it pours!
Momo used as substitute for Dr. Brown glass bottle June 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am only reviewing this as a substitude for the Dr. Brown bottle, not how the bottle itself works. Purchase this because I cannot buy any Dr. Brown bottles. It is serving that purpose but it is not ideal. Here is what I learned. The length of the bottle is too short for the Dr. Brown tube. So if used as is will push up against the holder for the nipple and cause it to pop out, leaking milk from the sides. I bypassed this by slightly tilting the tube so that it goes on an angle into the bottle, giving enough clearance so that the holder does not pop. Still need to be careful if over tighter the holder, the thing will still pop out, but not due to the tube but becuase of the spiral groves which is slightly different between this bottle and the Dr. Brown. As one of the previous reviewer said, the measurement ticks are off. It looks like for 6oz of liquid, the bottle will show 6.5oz. So it is ~ .1 oz less per tick. Used dishwasher and rapid bottle heaters with this bottle and after 1 month of daily washing an heating, no bottle breaks.
Good bottles, inaccurate measurement September 21, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got these bottles because they are compatible with the Dr Brown's nipples. And indeed they are...they fit perfectly, never a leak. I have only had them a month or so but they seem to be a great quality. My only complaint is that the ounce markings on the side are wrong. Really really wrong. The markings on my Medela pump bottles and the Dr Brown bottles are the same as each other, then when I pour the liquid into these bottles it's off by at least half an ounce. It's fine for me because I am using previously measured breastmilk, but don't trust it to make formula in.
