Product Description The Philips AVENT 9 ounce Natural Feeding Bottle comes in natural and gold color is clinically proven to reduce colic. It has an anti-colic valve that not only reduces colic for less air in baby's tummy, but also works with baby's natural feeding action so your baby controls milk flow, which can help reduce overeating and spit up. The soft, naturally shaped nipple promotes proper latch-on and makes it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding. This bottle is made from Polyether Sulphone (PES) - a BPA Free material with a natural golden-colored tint. All AVENT Nipples and Spouts can be used with the AVENT Bottle, Magic and Via cup. This comes in a dual pack

Leaky Bottles October 7, 2008 I used Dr Browns with my first son and there were lots of parts to clean and sterilize. My son was colicky and I'm not sure that Dr Browns helped. So when pregnant with our second child, I took the cue from my sister and registered for Avent bottles. I really liked them. Our daughter isn't as gassy as our son (don't know if the bottle has anything to do with it or it's just the way she is). The bottles are very easy to clean, fewer parts... and easy to sterilize too, with its own microwaveable sterilizer. So when I read about the BPA issue, I bought the Avent BPA-free bottles. I am so frustrated with them because they leak. I rarely swear but there have been nights when trying to feed my daughter that I did. I'm stuck with the bottles now so there's nothing I can do about them. But I'm writing this review (which I rarely do) so people will know not to buy the bottles.
Finally! ...and no leaks. October 4, 2008 Finally Avent has a decent BPA free bottle. I have the Isis pump and all the other Avent bells and whistles, but had to switch to Dr. Brown's BPA free bottles. Dr. B's are good, but a PAIN to clean. I picked up 2 Avent BPA-free bottles at Target to give them a try after reading the mixed reviews. I am ordering more from Amazon - they work great, just like the regular polycarbonate bottles. I think the trick to fixing a leak issue is twofold: Make sure the nipple is "snapped" in and (most important) don't over-tighten the nipple and collar onto the bottle. Over-tightening WILL cause leaks. A decent "finger tight" turn will do. I only gave these 4 stars because of price. I wish they would have made polypropylene bottles (the translucent plastic) - they would have been cheaper. But, I guess having good, BPA-free bottles that work seemlessly with all the stuff I already have, are super-easy to clean, and are NOT made in China is worth the extra cost.
So LEAKY I had to THROW AWAY October 1, 2008 I bought 5 dual packs (10 bottles),NOT CHEAP, so that I could replace all the Avent bottles I was using (including bottles for the 2 grandparents). All of the bottles leak even when you tighten and retighten. Sometimes I would think I had it tight only to have formula spill all over my baby. This was especially bad when he was almost asleep and I would have to get him out of the wet cloths essentially fully waking him up. It was hard to abandon all the bottles as they were costly but after having a leaky mess everytime, I had no choice. I found Gerber GentleFlow bottles that are BPA free, a lot cheaper AND look exactly like Avent. A much better choice.
Yellow color September 28, 2008 I have had some problems with leaking bottles. You really have to secure the nipple after washing. These BPA free bottles are yellowish, which threw me off at first, now I realize why.

I bought a few of these...and I was so glad they were now BPA free but I have to say they are leaky even when you really twist them shut pretty hard..... shucks....they are not cheap and I am stuck with them. I was surprised and disappointed.
