Stop leaking, subtle under clothes August 24, 2008 I have had these for 2 weeks. I was impressed they stopped leakage while on and were barely noticeable under clothing. I was surprised how well they clean, how fast they dry, and how well they stick. I was a little confused as to where to place these while nursing when out and about. I wound up throwing their case in the diaper bag and putting them in there. It is more challenging to take these on and off while out and about that pads you just slide in.
I have now stopped leaking during the day (unrelated to this product) and use these at night to not have sleep in a bra.
I have two pregnant sisters and plan to recommend these to both of them if they choose to breast feed. Great product!!
Lilypadz saved me from pain June 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had heard about LilyPadz in a babies perspective class that I had taken early on in my pregnancy. I decided to try them when I had very sore nipples in the early weeks of breastfeeding. They are a lifesaver. My pain has greatly decreased. I like them so much more than cloth or paper breast pads. I simply rinse them off and dry them on a paper towel while I'm nursing and back they go. I wear them most of the time and they have given me back some normalcy. I can not recommend them highly enough!
Not so great if you leak a lot April 9, 2008 I'm sure these work great if you're not a big leaker like I was. After repeated attempts and checking and double checking that I was putting them on right, I just stashed them in a drawer and haven't used them since. They just wouldn't stay on and I kept getting a wet bra and shirt. I went back to the Lansinoh disposable nursing pads, which I love!
Good option March 24, 2008 The Lilypads are comfortable to use, but I don't think they're great for when your milk first comes in because your supply may be heavier at first and these can leak. Also, when your baby is tiny & feeding every 2-3 hours it can be a pain to wash them every time rather than throw away disposables. Doesn't show through a bra which is a plus over the lumpy disposables. You can wear these without a bra at night which is nice. I do wonder if these contributed to my breast infection early on though - they can keep the skin from breathing and I think these didn't help. They will last a long time if you maintain & clean them exactly like the company suggests. A good baby shower gift for a nursing mother - they pay for themselves quickly. For disposables I recommend the Lansinoh pads.
wish i'd gotten them sooner March 5, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
HATE nursing pads, hate figuring out what to wear that won't show them, hate dealing with bunched up thinner disposables and shifting washables, but didn't trust that these would work, and afraid they would leak at the worst time. But don't get engorged anymore and they help me from letting down on one side when nursing on the other. And it is so liberating to be able to wear normal clothes again! Only drawback is that unlike the pads they can't just be folded over while my baby is nursing and folded back up quickly to catch leaks when he pulls off suddenly.
