DO NOT BUY August 16, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received these pacifiers at my baby shower and after doing some research i found out that they are not BPA free, so in the trash they went.
Love the cap July 29, 2008 I love Avent's pacifiers. They last long, don't have that funky smell that some pacifiers have, and I especially love the cap. Makes it easy to take the pacifier anywhere without it getting dirty.
The ONLY one! January 31, 2008 This pacifier is the ONLY brand/material my daughter will use. Talk about high maintenance! I have bought EVERY paci on the shelf at Wal-Mart and Target and these are the only ones that she takes happily. She also likes the GerberNUK Silicone Pacifiers too, but she doesn't take it as readily and will eventually spit it out.
These Avent Paci's are my daughters answers when she is fussy or needs some comfort. The price point is definitely NOT GOOD, but when you are up at 3am and need something to calm your baby down, the extra $1.50 is well worth it!
Contains BPA/ Bishpenol A I'm Returning All Avent Products! January 23, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
Just wanted to inform all parents out there that this product contains BPA/ Bisphenol A. I returned mine. Pacifiers, bottles, breast pumps can have BPA in them as well such as the AVENT products that I returned. I then decided to go with Born Free bottles and sterilizer,Soothie pacifier and the Gerber Nuk pacifiers, and Medela pump. All their products are BPA Free. You do the research and decide if you will buy or continue to use their products. I've already written the President, my senators, and Oprah. Hopefully together we can keep our children safe.
Perfect size for a tiny mouth August 17, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
From the first week, our little one always had a hand or bottle in her mouth. If she couldn't find either, she'd root around and fuss, so we began to look for pacifiers to help soothe her frustrations between meals. We tried Gerber, Playtex, and several other brands, but she didn't take well to any of them. The faceplates were large, the nipples weren't formed well for her small mouth, and they felt flimsy. The Avent pacifier was a blessing when we found it! Not only was it a better size and durable, but they have covers for the nipple so that they can stay cleaner. They've held up for over a month, now, and she still seems to enjoy the feel and the soothing effect they give. My only complaints are the price -- other pacifiers are closer to $2 each, these run around $2.50-$3 depending on where you get them -- and I have a difficult time finding them in stores. But, they do last awhile, so both are only minor blips on an otherwise outstanding product.
