Product Description The patented TinyDiner Portable Placemat provides a clean, safe eating surface that goes anywhere and stays in place. Made of FDA approved materials with no PVC, latex or phthalates, it protects children from germs while keeping spills off their laps. The reusable TinyDiner rolls easily into its own scoop to tuck into a diaper bag. At mealtime, it unrolls into a generous 12 x 18 eating and playing surface that stays securely in place with strong suction cups. The scoop catches the inevitable drips and dribble, and the outer rim of the placemat contains the wet messes. Available in three styles: Yellow Hippo, Blue Hey Diddle Diddle and Pink Hey Diddle Diddle

Excellent buy September 21, 2008 My husband and I have a disabled son whom creates messes while eating. This place mat is wonderful, and we had no problem at all with it. It cleans well and the suction cups do work, I noticed other people saying that they don't work, but we have a wood table with a coated surface and it sticks well, actually, sometimes we have to pull so hard to remove it from the table. I recommend this item...
Love it! June 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this product because my son (11 mos old) loves to chew what's in front of him, tables included. This product gives him something other than the germy restaurant table to chew, catches part of his food so he can still grab and eat it and gives us a place to cut and place his food. Product does not keep baby from table (like one of the other reviews said), it is soft and squishable material. Product is not hard to clean, you just have to rub and rinse under running water. It rolls up and fits in any diaper bag - folds up on itself to contain the mess until you get home to clean. What I don't like about the disposable table protectors is that my chewing son tears them to bits with his teeth, possibly ingesting plastic. I suppose it depends on the mom and the baby but I recommend this product to every mom I know!!!
Great idea, but baby likes it too much. February 12, 2008 The TinyDiner is a great idea and I have no complaints with its design. The suction cups really adhere to the table, it keeps all of the crumbs in one place, and it folds into itself for easy storage. The only problem is that our son is enamored with the thing and won't leave it alone. He is either pulling the placemat up or chewing on the trough. We're hoping that the novelty will eventually wear off and he'll quit noticing it's there. Until then we'll look back fondly on the days of simply wiping down the table and hoping for the best.
All things considered... January 21, 2008 All things considered this placemat is...OK. We got this for our son awhile back and we're somewhat pleased with the product. It does what it's supposed to do: keep the food from touching the dirty table. Our son ,however, was more interested in pulling it off of the table - the suction cups don't really do their job. The "food catcher" was pretty irrelevant. However, the worst part for me was that it stains REALLY easily. Don't give you child any tomato-based products to eat off of this placemat because it will forever be stained. It also retains smells. The placemat permanently reeks of barbecue after using it at the local BBQ joint.
So, even though I feel there are many cons to this product, I do prefer it to disposable placemats in an effort to be more enviornmentally friendly.

I love this thing. I've had it for over a year. We take it with us everywhere we go, so instead of worrying about cleaning off dirty restaurant tables we just put this down instead. The long cup at the bottom helps to catch spills (not everything alas, but feeding a baby is never super-neat). I also love how it rolls up nice and tight for easy transport. And it's easy to clean. Wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher, however. It did lose it's shape after a cycle. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this purchase.
