Have tried other straw cups w/ my now 19 month old and the cups were mostly frustrating to clean. The best thing about this one is how easy it is to clean! My daughter also loves to drink out of it - and for the most part it doesn't leak.

I'm very satisfied with this bottle. I use it as a sippy cup for my 19-month old. It's easy to take the parts apart, clean them and put them back together. It does not leak. I would definitely recommend this product to other moms.

I have the Leak-proof bottles and food storage container. They have held up beautifully for my three youngest children, one of whom is autistic and can be really hard on sippy cups! My five-year-old daughter loves them because she doesn't feel like she's using a "baby" sippy cup like the plastic ones with spouts, and the baby drops hers frequently on the hard ceramic in the kitchen and we haven't had one crack or break yet. Today I'm buying two more in pink for the girls.
The only reason this isn't a 5-star review is for the lack of replacement parts available for purchase (straw and straw attachment). If my dishwasher chews up a straw, I have to buy a whole new $15 cup.
Fantastic Product!! Maybe not for babies though March 15, 2008
I'm not sure why this product is listed in the baby area (I also found it in the baby aisle at my local grocery store) because it is not spill proff like a sipy cup would be, but I would definately recommend it for an older child. My 3 school age kids (ages 5, 8 and 10) each have one to take in their lunch pails to school everyday and they have worked out perfectly for us!! They do not leek in their lunch pails at all!! I was so tired of wasting money on juice boxes and after an exhaustive search I finally found these fantastic thermoses. They are exactly what we were looking for. They are easy to use, easy to clean, keep their drinks cold, don't have some stupid character on them (a real plus for my "tween" daughter!) We also are trying to create less waste... so it is wonderful to have a reusable drink bottle!! Love it!!!
Good, but not perfect February 1, 2008
We have had this bottle for about 6 months, and I do like it. The cap and straw mechanisms are great. The straw is of high quality and is easy to clean. The cap closes tightly and opens easily.
I would recommend it. The only problem is that on one of its many drops, the bottom pink plastic broke. It is glued to the bottom of the bottle itself (plastic-to-metal), so the break just caused a crack on the side "wall", and made a protruding pointy piece that was sharp and hard. Not good. I had to struggle with pliers to rip out the plastic and scrape off the glue in order to make it useful again.
The plastic should be more resistant to the inevitable drops.
Another minor issue is that it is of substantial weight. It feels "solid".
I would recommend it because it is a superior product, save for the bottom plastic breaking.
