Rock-a-bye Baby Bjorn…From the first name in front carriers for babies comes a handsome bouncy seat that any parent would be proud to position in the living room among the leather sofas and sleek coffee tables. But don't be fooled. This seat is far, far more than a fashion accessory for image-conscious parents. The bouncy seat is one of the most important and useful pieces of baby gear most families will have in their homes. It would be lovely if we could all sit around with our babes in arms all day, every day; alas, dishes, laundry, dinner, and older children call. Bouncy seats allow the youngest members of the family to enjoy the chaos swirling around them from the comfort and peace of their own personal recliner. And in a pleasantly pared-down departure from the jingly-jangly, swishy-splashy seats that confront parents shopping for a basic bouncy seat, the only bell or whistle on the Baby Sitter 1-2-3 is a toy bar with three solid wood teddy bear shapes. Either way, the look is subtle, sophisticated, and unforgiving of yogurt or rice cereal stains…Luckily, it's easily machine washable (drip dry). Come to think of it, in this day and age, any piece of baby gear that is not machine washable needs to go straight to the museum of ancient artifacts, for crying out loud. The restraint system buttons (yes, buttons!) securely at three points, and is removable to wash, reverse patterns, or keep off entirely once baby is able to walk or to climb in and out of the seat herself. That's right, you read that correctly! No need to scold your toddler for trying to get into baby's seat; this bouncy seat is suitable for 8-pound newborns as well as kids up to 24 months (or a maximum of 29 pounds). Just be sure to remove and stow that restraint system. Another good safety feature is the non-skid base, as well as the reminder never to place the inhabited seat on a table or other elevated surfaces. Unlike the two- or three-month life spans of so many toys and equipment for children, this is one baby item that will truly grow with your little angel, up to two years! Even if it costs a bit more than some, make sure you're measuring that price against the number of months of use; most bouncy seats are workable up until around seven months or so, in spite of the actual age/weight range listed. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this bouncer is. We have used it from the day we brought our little boy home from the hospital and it is still going strong at his 6th month.
It fold flat and weighs very little so you can take it anywhere (very helpful when visiting friends.) It bounces so easily that a feather-light touch is all you need to get the baby rockin'! My kiddo even learned how to bounce himself at about 3 months of age. It adjusts to different pitch easily so it works great when we visit grandma and the baby wants to nap. Getting a baby to sleep somewhere other than home can be difficult so the lowest setting and the rocking motion usually does the trick.
Also, I toss the cover right into the wash when it gets dirty. All my mom friends either wish they had one or plan on getting one with their next child. We call it the magic chair.
No, it does not vibrate, light up, or do anything exciting which disappointed me at first but my concerns quickly melted away within the first week we owned it. Moms look no further! This bouncer is worth EVERY penny!

I wasn't sure that this would be worth the price. I now wish I hadn't spent the money on all the other baby seats/swings that we have and only used this. It's light, can travel easily, it keeps my baby occupied and near by since it can go all over the house. We got it when he was 3 months and he's now 5 months and still loves it. I love that the toys are wooden and that there is no need for batteries or motor replacements (his swing was twice as expensive and broke even though it was hardly used). Great product!

At first we thought the waist belt was too big and covered our newborn daughter's face, but we just twisted it a few times before fastening it, and it's perfect. She loves it and has loved it since getting home from the hospital. Even gentle hiccuping is enough to make it gently rock on its own. I'm not sure why it is as expensive as it it, but my husband and I agree, it's already been worth the money, and our daughter is only 3 weeks old!! Its light weight, easily portable, and it's not unsightly like many other bouncy seats!! I HIGHLY recommend this!!

The baby enjoyed sitting up in the corner of the sofa, so we thought he'd enjoy this infant seat. But he doesn't. He'll sit in it about ten maybe fifteen (tops) minutes maybe before he wants to get out, and he always looks unhappy when he's in it. We bought it when he was already three months old and 15+ pounds so we could no longer use the "nap" position, which left only "playing" and "resting" (we didn't know the "napping" position only went until 15 pounds until we got it). He was not a baby who ever liked to be rocked, and doesn't seem fond of the bouncing. In fact, he's a really active baby and when he gets fidgety and wants to get out, it starts to bounce and I think it confuses him. The quality and design are great. I wonder if he would have liked it more if we'd got him into it earlier ....
