Product Description The WeeRide Kangaroo child seat offers an innovative riding position so the child is visible at all times and can be heard and attended to more easily. The child is provided with a more interesting view, and the weight distribution actually works to enhance the bicycle's stability. All in all, it offers enhanced safety and a more comfortable, enjoyable ride for the child.
Amazon.com Product Description The WeeRide Kangaroo center-mounted bike seat offers an award-winning design that makes biking with your child much safer and much more fun. It's installed onto virtually any bicycle via a patent pending, independent steel support bar that attaches between the front handle bar tube and the seat post. It provides a much more enjoyable and interactive experience for the child and rider. Your child's needs can be heard, seen and attended to more easily, and he or she has a more interesting view--no more staring at someone's back. Other advantages include no dangling arms or legs to reach wheels and the rear of the bike is free to carry your gear. The seat is made from an injection-molded plastic form, and it features a comfortable padded foam seat, height adjustable foot cups, and a fully adjustable three-point security harness. The Padded pedestal armrest sitting atop the handlebars gives children somewhere comfortable to put their hands, and can serve as a headrest for the napping toddler. The steel support bar is an independent support system that does not interfere with brake cables or other attached bicycle gear. It includes different sizes of plastic spacers for the front yoke attachment and rear seat post to protect the posts and ensure it fits on almost any recreational bicycle available. It's easily removable for when you want to ride on your own. It can be used with mountain/city bikes with upright handlebars (with drop-handled racing handlebars, the rider leans forward too much for the child to sit comfortably). Children should be at least 1 year old, and it has a maximum weight capacity of 40 pounds. This bike seat is designed for casual riding on smooth, flat, paved and dry surfaces free of sand, gravel or dirt.

I would not recommnt this! June 27, 2008 May not fit every bike! It didn't fit ours! I didn't feel safe puting our daughter on the seat - it didn't offer much support for her. Plastic is very flexable!!! I returned it immediately!!!
Great fun for baby June 26, 2008 This seat is awesome. As some reviewers have mentioned, you do have to bow your legs just slightly to ride with this seat, but unless you have your seat positioned completely incorrectly for proper riding, this is only a slight bowing and I would not consider it a flaw. The straps are a little big for my small 14-month-old daughter, but this only means that she will be able to enjoy it for a long time. It is much, much, MUCH safer than the back-mounted seats that throw your balance off, and my daughter can enjoy the wind in her face and fun sights. I think that this seat is wonderfly designed, but there is one IMPORTANT thing to consider: Many bikes now are not designed in a way that is compatible with this front mounting bracket. I bought a bike that I really liked, only to find that this is seat would not fit because the bar is welded too close to the steering column. I returned the bike (because the child seat was more important) and had to take the bracket with me to several merchants to find a bike that it would fit on. This seat will not work for all bikes styles or brands.
Father's delight! June 20, 2008 Purchased this carrier as a "Father's Day" gift for our son who has an outdoor-loving 2.5 year old. What a joy to watch Dad & Son tour our neighborhood together, with Dad's arms alongside Son, the two able to chat intimately as they ride around, ..... so safe, so secure, so very wonderful to deepen the special bond between Dad and Son.

Double check your bike first June 20, 2008 I needed an extra seat for my almost 2 year old child. I loved the idea of this seat. I do have some complaints about it. Like anything else, videos that are provided about the product always seem easy in use. However, when I have received the item the 1st thing I notices is it would not fit on my mountain bike front mount. I made it fit, but the brackets on the Weeride were not designed for a wide neck of a bike. Pay attention on the bikes in the pictures. Second complaint I had is my child only 27lbs and I had troubles buckeling him around his legs. It was very tight. The front buckel kept snapping out of the oepning in the seat. Sort of unsafe. And the last problem with Weeride is that the feet rests were in the way of shocks on my bike. So, if you have a simple bike like on the pictures, it might be great fit, but mine is mountain bike with suspentions that just was a wrong fit. Overall, it is a great seat if your child is tiny and it definately will not accomodate a child 30 or 40 lbs as it describes. Try it, I guess.
A real head turner! June 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a genius invention.. its heard to believe that it took so long to come up with! My 2 1/2 year old Allyson absolutely LOVES going for bike rides in this seat, in fact when the ride is over and mommy and daddy want to go back in the house.. she wants more! Also you will feel like you're driving a fancy car down the street when you see the people turn their heads as you ride down the street! Great job WeeRider!!
