My husband loves this, and more importantly my son loves it! We turn a lot of heads and get numerous complements on this... it is a little tougher for me to handle, if I was in better shape it would probably be fine!

We have an old model of the Adams Trail-A-Bike, and it is just fantastic. My son started riding it a little before he turned 3, (had a little trouble reaching the pedals) and was riding his two-wheeler without training wheels at 3 years, 1 month. We think feeling the balance of the trail-a-bike prepared him for removing the training wheels. We use it every day, riding uphill to work/ school, and to local businesses. We have even attached it to our tandem, and it works fine.
The hitch attaches very quickly to the bike. We bought extra hitches for our various bikes. My son asked for toe clips, so his feet wouldn't fly off the pedals when he pedaled fast, so we made loops out of duct tape, and he puts his feet in each time he rides.
This is a wonderful way to be able to ride everywhere, and include a young child.

I bring my 6yo son to school and back everyday on this bike. It is 3.5 miles to school so it gets about 7 miles a day. We've had the Adam's Folder for a week so far and we have been very happy with it. We are in San Francisco so it has to go up a few hills.
I'm going to get a side view mirror for my bike just so it is easier to keep an eye on him.
Assembly was fairly simple but the directions aren't great (e.g. nothing about how to attach the pedals. I think that people who aren't bike enthusiasts might not be familiar with how to do it. It is easy, but a picture would have helper).
Attaching it to your bike is very quick and easy. The folding feature is great. Fold it and put it upside down and it takes up very little space. We live downtown so space is at a premium for us! :)
NOTE: You have to really crank down on the seat post bracket to keep it from swiveling. There are 2 screws go back and forth from one to the other when you are tightening it. On ours it slightly slipped out of alignment.

This attachment fit on both my husband's road bike and his mountain bike and our 6 1/2 yr. old LOVES it! It builds his confidence by teaching him balance and lets us go on longer, faster rides than we do when he takes his own bike along. Nice to have the option and it's pretty easy to take on and off your bike. We saw several others that looked the same in the park, we really would recommend this one highly!

This thing is great!!! It takes just 30 seconds to connect to my mountain bike and my 4 year old can go with me on most any bike ride. We often do 30-40 mile rides at a time. We have taken it on single tracks, fire roads, and paved streets. Even my 6 and 8 year old boys love it, as it is a good way to teach them traffic safety. A great feature of this model that others did not have, is that it folds in half and easily fits in the car. Also has a U-joint that helps with stability on tight coners.
Our trail-a-bike has been used an abused and has held up to the mountains of Mammoth and Lake Tahoe and the deserts of California. A must have for all active parents.
