 DANGEROUS! Don't buy it! September 29, 2008
I bought it for my newborn and it is really dangerous. The sides collapse and if you have your baby on the changing table he/she can fall easily.
Very poor design!
Side Collapses - DANGEROUS! September 11, 2008
We have only used the play yard for 2 months and our baby only weighs 10 pounds. We set it up/broke it down 3 times- so our problem isn't from overuse/abuse. Upon setup, the side locks into place. The last step of setup is to lower the floor. Once we do that, the side piece collapses. Interesting that it is made by Simplicity, not actually Fisher Price... and that Babies R Us and Target are no longer carrying it.

Fisher Price does not make this product, a company called Simplicity does. If the sides of your play yard will not stay up you must call them. The representative that I spoke with, walked me through a couple of steps to determine whether or not the yard was defective. Mine was and several are. I was told that I will be sent a replacement. Just turn it over. There is a 1-800 number on the bottom. You will be asked to collapse and reset up the play yard and told if you need a new one. You will then be given instructions on what to do with the old one. Hope this helps!

This is so adorable. I built it today, and what a pain!! The instructions did come with it, but it's still a litle tricky. Now that I understand how to do it, I think it will be easier to work. I find that there are little buttons to push to collapse the sides, don't try to force it. And getting the sides up in the first place IS a pain, but just make sure the middle isn't pushed down while trying to snap the sides up. I hate that you have to assemble the bassinet every time you want to use it. We wanted the seperate bassinet, but they stopped selling it Babies-R-Us & Target. It would have been great if it were one or two pieces that you have to place inside, but oh well. Still very cute!

i liked this product at first but then the sides started collapsing while my daughter was in it. even the slightest pressure on the sides would cause this to happen. it's very dangerous and i don't feel comfortable leaving her in it. also, it's very difficult to get the sides to snap back into place.
