Out of the swing, the play mat and this, my daughter sits for the longest in this before she starts to gripe to be picked up. And for a baby that usually wants to be held all the time, I don't what I'd do without it. Before I got this, she would just cry the whole time I would try to eat and feed my son. Now she just sits there content while I can get something done. And I don't think the vibrating is too hard like some other people said, when I put her in it without it on and then turn it on, she smiles really big. I also don't see a problem in how deep the seat is or the cushion. And I would prefer this over one that is more stimulating, babies can get over stimulated. I think this one is just right to keep her occupied. She loves to sit there and look at the butterflies. And I also don't take the toy bar off just to put her in and out, I just make sure I hold her low enough and a little to the side while passing under it so they don't hit her face.

My little girl didn't care for the toys at all until she was about 4 months and, even now, she only plays with them for a few minutes. The flower music box in the center of the toy bar is big and I always worry about it hitting her on the head. She prefers sitting in it without the toy bar obstructing her view and I'm happy to oblige because I find the music a little too shrill!
Baby sits in her bouncer when I have to get some chores done but it's not always easy. She has to be bounced up and down in it for her to really settle down and I find myself having to be right there doing it! Now that she's a little older, she sometimes likes bouncing herself. All in all, it's an okay bouncer...it certainly keeps her distracted for a few minutes per day...although I'd probably go with another bouncer for the next one!

I recieved this as a gift. My daughter does not like being put down anywhere for long by herself. Since she was born 6 weeks ago we have been rotating between swing, bobby, car seat, bassinet, and this. She seems to like this the best. If I bounce her for a few minutes she usually falls asleep. I think the vibration seems a little intense and I don't like that her feet rest right on it. I wasn't using it but my four year old turned it on once and I didn't even know it until I was wondering why the baby was being so good and quite for so long being that her eyes werewide open. However I would not buy this product again if I had the choice. I would look for one with brighter contrasting colors and maybe a deeper seat, a clear foot area and better music selection. I regret opening it and wish I would of exchanged it and paid the extra money for the rainforest or aquarium bouncer. The designs looks more stimulating for baby to look at.
Also, I find the music extemely irritating. It reminds me of an unanswered cell phone when I hear it. I don't put it on because the baby shows no interest in it yet and my four year old is to tempted to pull the toy which activates the music which you cannot turn off once it starts. I also have to take it off when I take her out or her face hits the toys.
Not what I was hoping for March 1, 2008
I was in a hurry when I picked this out and was disappointed to find this bouncer has such a rigid stand it hardly bounces when you try to do it manually. Also because the metal stand sticks out you have to be careful not to catch your toes when you walk by it. All the FP bouncers' vibrate mode is useless to me so I remove the battery pack, which gets in the way of their feet anyway because the seat is not long enough. Also this one is not reclined enough and too deep. I felt her back was too hammocked and the pillow cushion should support under her neck and to the side so I modified mine (see photo of sleeping baby). What good is the cushion above her head when she's practically upright with her chin hanging down? I haven't had luck selling it yet.
I love it February 24, 2008
I bought this for my two month old and she just loves it. The seat is the perfect angle for her, it doesn't sit up so far that her head is crooked but it props her up enough that she can look at the butterflies and see out. I'm not nuts about the vibration, it seems a little too hard, but that's just my opinion. My daughter is content just to bounce in it and stare at the toys. I wasn't sure if I should purchase this but it was well worth the price and I am happy that I decided to buy it.
One thing that I did not realize when I bought it was that the one D battery it requires is only necessary to use the vibrate feature. It plays the music from the pull cord on the flower toy.
