Product Description Today's Tot Summerside Activity Table w/Two Drawers Imaginations will soar as the Today's Tot Summerside Activity Table w/Two Drawers becomes a train station resembling Grand Central. Action figures depicting great battles and a first letter to Santa Claus will be composed on this remarkable activity table. Two storage drawers are very handy for any play area. You can store anything from clothing to toys and games. The drawers roll on castors and can be used underneath the activity table or in any part of the house. Most activity tables are constructed using particleboard or MDF which is less durable as well as inexpensive. The Today's Tot Summerside Activity Table is made of durable Asian hardwood and will last well past your child's doll and action figure years. It was designed to grow with your child right into adulthood. It can follow him or her right to college or you can turn it into a coffee table. It sits low to the ground, and is available four fantastic finishes: natural, cherry, oak, and espresso.

decent August 2, 2008 This table was purchased to be abused by my toddler, and for that it will do just fine. It is strudy, provides a nice surface for playing, the lip around the top keeps sutff on the table, the corners are not too sharp, and there is good storage in the trundle drawers.
The quality of the wood is okay - some solid wood(legs, trim pieces), some particle board (all the broad flat pieces); no mdf. The finish is patchy - not uniform in color and the particle board edges of the drawers chip quite easily and make it look shabby. The bolts for trundle drawers show on the front - you can see this in the picture - I didn't really notice when I ordered, but it looks kind of cheap. It took me about an hour to assemble it while my husband sat on the couch watching the tube.
If you want a really nice looking piece of furniture, keep looking (Pottery Barn Kids and Land of Nod have similar and maybe nicer items.) If you want a solid, multi functional piece that can take abuse and is not too expensive, this is a good choice. If you can swing it in a lighter color, do so - the dark finish is not great out of the box and is not holding up, a lighter finish would not show these flaws as much.
Great looking, cost effective table December 28, 2007 Great look and price. I bought this table with the trundles on wheels for $149.99. The shipping from BabyAge was a flat rate of $7.95! Then I purchased Yukon Express 80-Piece Wooden Train set for $16.99. So the train set and table came to a grand total of $185.72. For a starter set I feel like this was a great deal.
The table looks great. My only concern was that it took a little while to assemble because the holes for the screws were not cleaned out. So, it took longer to screw the pieces together. Once assembled it feels like good a good quality, solid wood table.
Train set: Everything is supposed to be compatible with Thomas sets for future expansion. They are not as elaborately decorated as Thomas set, but for my 18 month old the basic set is perfect for now. Concern: I received two average length straight pieces when I need to long straight pieces, so I have to call the company.
Fun, good quality, long lasting, toys!
