Not a recommended walker... March 15, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The walker has a few flaws. First of all the toy bar on the front table is not ideal. It is too close to the child and only a few inches away from the child's head. My son keeps bumping his forhead on the toybar when he is riding in the walker.....constantly. The seat is too tight and the crotch area on the seat is too high, it should be roomier and drop lower.
Not bad... on par with other walkers... March 6, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This walker is very easy to put together. It doesn't need any tools to assemble it, just to open the battery compartment (small flat head screwdriver). The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
The walker itself looks cheap but actually I was surprised how sturdy it is once put together. I do have to say that the washable seat for this is a little tough snapping into place so I won't want to remove it much to wash it... still that is a small price to pay for safety.
the front wheels are casters which rotate in a complete 360. the back wheels jsut go forward or backwards... this is a safety feature, as are the traction strips on the underside of the walker. The baby will only be able to move backwards at first, but with a little time, s/he will be cruising all over.
I am a little concerned about the activity toys on the tray. From the reviews, it looks like baby may bang her mouth a little. If that is the case, it will take me 2 minutes to detatch the toys and save it for later when she has more control. Also, the sound for the toys is actually not bad. Most toys have 2 volume settings; loud and louder... this one (in my opinion)actually has 2 real volue conrols... soft and medium.Still If I ever get annoyed at the noise, I can turn it off by flipping the switch... or just let the battery run out.
the worst part of the whole thing is adjsuting it to different height levels... I found it easier to turn the walker upside down and adjsut it that way... still, my thumbs will be bruised for days for all the pressure it took to adjust.
Hope this helps... definately worth the $40!
it only goes forward June 29, 2006 157 out of 165 found this review helpful
This is a nicely designed walker and my baby likes it for the most part but we are not exactly satisfied by it for one reason. The front wheels turn all directions but the rear wheels don't. Just like a car, it can only go forward and backward, but not sideways. Sometimes my baby turns her upper body to the side and tries to reach something on her left or right but she can't push the walker that way because of the design, and she gets frustrated. If both front wheels and rear wheels were the types that turn any direction, it would have had much greater mobility.
Spinning Disaster! June 25, 2006 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought this product for my son because he is in love with the sesame beginnings videos. He loves the soft toys on the side and the buttons along the toy bar. However, the spinning toy with mirror on the middle of the toy bar is very unsafe. More than once he has bumped his forhead or mouth on it. Once so badly that his lip was bleeding and he was screeming in tears! There has to be a better walker out there than this one. Don't buy it just because it is sesame street like I did. It is a waist of money.
Unavaility of walkers June 23, 2006 0 out of 8 found this review helpful
I tried to buy a walker for my grandson and all the walkers were unavailiable. You didnt even have one walker availiable, How is it possible that such a big outlet like yours not to have one walker? I was very disapionted. I guess that I would have to rate you with a zero. And I would like to know when will there be any walkers available? I like to shop with Amazon.
