The Summer Infant Secure Surround gate is a convenient way to carve out a playing space inside and outside of the house. The 30-inch tall and 32-inch wide durable plastic panels provide 18.5 square feet of play space. Remove two panels (from six to four) to use as a smaller play area or to partition "off limits" objects around the house. It is easy to assemble, and once set up, the surround gate was sturdy and sound, and the walk-through gate swings both ways for quick access. Fold up the panels and use the handle to carry and transport, just make sure you have a little muscle. --Scott Teal

Does the job October 9, 2008
Probably the best option that is made of sturdy plastic (and not metal - feels like an animal cage)and not exorbitantly expensive. If only it doesn't shift when baby holds on to it, otherwise, does the job pretty fine. And of coz, gives me back my sanity. Not fun trying to cut up a chicken and chasing after a crawling baby.

I bought this play yard because my 10 mth old was growing frustrated with the traditional play yards (not enough room to roam) but with this one she plays for hours walking (well attempting to) and crawling back and forth. She has even tried to climb the gates and they have held strong and sturdy. I move it easily from room to room, the other play yards are not as easy as they do not fit through the bedroom doors so you need to remove all the toys inside and then close it to them open it again and so forth. With this play yard I just pick it up and move it and put her inside - Done!! Love it.

This is a great buy! We use it around our entertainment center to keep our daughter from hitting her head on the corners. It folds up nice and neat and is very easy to use! A great buy from Amazon! $10 cheaper than Wal-Mart, Target and the other guys!!!!

Our grandson is 17 months old and is climbing out of his playpen and crib and running all over the place. My husband and I babysit for him and he wears us out. We bought this playard to safely contain him. At first he loved playing in it, but not long after he is climbing out of it too. He plays in it for a while, which is nice because it gives us partial relief. We really like it a lot, but wish it was made different so he could not climb out of it! On the whole though, we love it even for partial relief!

purchased for my new puppy. initially she was so small she could slip thru the divisions, but now that she has grown some, it works great! I love it. I just put her in there and I can get my work done.
