Product Description It's about time someone created a tool to help new parents keep track of the overwhelming number of baby care details. Now someone has! ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer was invented by a new mom and dad who found themselves sleep-deprived and needing help to remember baby care details like when their baby last ate or napped. They tried charts and journals but thought there had to be a better way, so they invented one. And alas, ITZBEEN was born. The ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer is a multi-purpose tool that helps you remember the basic details of baby care. It has four timers for changing, feeding, napping and more that count up with the touch of a button! The ITZBEEN has several other helpful features including a nursing reminder switch that easily reminds mom which side baby nursed from last, a soft-glow nightlight to help parents find their way in the dark without waking the baby and a backlit display so parents can read the times and the clock in the dark. Plus, a back clip makes the ITZBEEN totally portable and allows for hands-free use of the nightlight! Awards: 2007 iParenting Media Award DadLabs.com #2 Dad Invented Product of the Year And many more rave reviews!

a lifesaver! October 7, 2008 i would definitely recommend this product!! its a must-have for parents, especially first time parents like us. its so nice to have one place to look to see if she's due for a diaper change or feeding, instead of trying to remember to look at the clock every time. it works great and i haven't had any problems with it being fragile like other reviews mentioned.
LIfe saver! August 24, 2008 I could not live without my Itzbeen. Seriously, it's a life saver. Sure, you can write down all the feedings, diaper changes, times, etc... BUT what happens when you're out and about and lose track of time? Yup, "Itzbeen".... this long -- you'll know right away! I love the clock feature on it as well as the alarm feature. The alarm will warn me 10 minutes before it's time to feed her (so I'm not driving when that time comes). You can set the alarm to be any time you want... The light up buttons are great for catching her attention too (acts as a toy when you're stranded without a toy).... I love the flashlight part too. This is by far, the most used product that I've purchased for my baby. I only wish that I had invented it, then I'd be rich!!! You MUST get this product. It's fantastic!!!
Mommy's little helper... August 7, 2008 I love this little gadget, it is small and compact, I can clip it on to my shirt or pants..whatever, and it has a night light so I can see in the dark for those late night wake ups to feed, change or just be rocked. When you are sleep deprived and have fried eggs for brain from lack of sleep this little guy helps to remind you how long (or short) "itzbeen". I use the extra timer to time how long I express my milk for, which is nice because I am usually like to spend that time reading a book or watching a little TV, and not having to focus on the clock makes a little R&R time even better. Thank god for this little device :)
Time and time again August 7, 2008 Overall a good addition to new parent's arsenal of weapons to fight fatigue and exhaustion. In the early days of parenthood many things get misplaced, forgotten and dislodged from the mind, and this little gadget can help keep some of them in place.
I was surprised at how small it actually was, given the pictures. It is comparable in size to a cell phone or ipod, and the numbers are small, like a digital watch. If you are diligent, you can get a sense of your baby's schedule, length of time between feedings, periods of sleep, and the ever popular nappy change. But you do have to remember to press the buttons every time you do any of those things, it doesn't reset itself. A written log is probably more practical, and combined, a log and this device can keep you in tune with your baby's needs. The value of a tool is in it's proper application. So, properly and diligently used, it does make life a bit easier before you get the hang of the whole "baby" thing.
Great concept but just wasn't working for us. July 3, 2008 So, this product is a great idea, and it was highly recommend by a friend of ours but we were really disappointed. The unit we received was broken - segments of the screen didn't work so the numbers were garbled. Also, the alarm would go off on its own.
Even if we had a working unit, I don't think this is such a great product, especially for newborns. You hit the button when you start feeding the baby so you can keep track of how long its been - but with a fussy baby, she might not drink more than half and ounce if she wasn't hungry to begin with. So now the timer has already been reset, but you can't see what the time was before you reset it. This product is a cute idea, but we're much better off jotting down feeding and nap times on a sheet of scrap paper. We also made a fancy spreadsheet, but even that is over kill.
I really wanted to like this product, but I wish it could keep track of how many times you nurse in a day, and how much. keeping track of sleep would be better too, instead of just knowing its been 3 hours since a nap - trust me, you'll know she's been up for too long without this ;D
