The under-the-mattress Movement Sensor Pad detects your baby's movements and sends the signal to the Nursery Unit, which sounds an alarm ONLY if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. It also transmits all other nursery sounds and has a Movement Indicator Light showing if movement is being detected. The Parents' Units receive the alarm and all other nursery sounds.Two Parents' Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping. Additional features include a nightlight on the nursury unit, color LCD displays, out or range indicator and tempuratire feature. Both units are rechargable and include 8 channels with a range of 820 ft. Includes an under-the-mattress Sensor Pad, a Nursery Unit, a Parents Unit (sound monitor) and two AC adapters. The movement sensor baby monitor has been a lifesaver for us! Our baby was born very early, but was still sent home without a home monitor system. We have been alarmed by the sensor pad a couple of times and with it had a chance to run into our babies room to remind him to breathe. It was definately worth the money for us, because our baby would not be still with us without this product!!!
Solid Peace of Mind Product September 30, 2008
We recently purchased this in anticipation of our first childs arrival. We have used it for about 3 weeks so far and its surprisingly easy to use. The directions almost made it seem harder than it really is so I tossed them aside and had no problem pretty much plugging it up and going. Its much easier to use than you would think. We haven't really had a false alarm. The only complaint is when you have a newborn to pick up and feed every 3 hours I wish there was an easier way to shut it off because it will beep loudly when you forget (half awake in the middle of the night). Its great peace of mind when you can look over and see the motion monitored on the parent unit and you feel more comfortable about leaving him while you do stuff in other parts of the house not to mention you sleep much easier. I think the deluxe is worth it just for the more information you get in the parent units showing motion, sound etc in more detail. It is easy to turn off the sound monitoring for when they are in the room with you and turn it back on when you are downstairs or something. Overall, I would buy this again and recommend it to friends, especially nervous new parents. A very solid buy.
Works even better than we had thought it would September 28, 2008
We were shopping for a baby monitor for our new baby and came across this movement sensor. The idea sounded good, but we were quite skeptical. However, after reading so many positive reviews we thought we would try it out. We have been using it now for almost three weeks and wow! We have had no false alarms (although one could argue that they are not false alarms). We know its working because at first we would forget to turn off the sensor when we picked our baby up and the alarm would sound. It definitely brings a peace of mind to know that your baby is being watched over and if for some reason stops breathing, an alarm will not only alert you, but most likely startle the baby as well and get them breathing again. The monitor works quite well too. I have no experience with another one to compare it to, but we are happy with it. Also, the temperature is a nice feature as well. Overall, we are very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to friends.
Best Product available! September 25, 2008
Our daughter has Acid Reflux and this product has helped ease our worries about her chocking on her spit-up. We have had a few false alarms, but those were due to our daughter being so far up in the crib that we couldn't see her when we peeked in!
I would really recommend this product to anyone as it's helped us sleep through the night and not get up every couple hours to check on our little girl.
I would give this product high marks and would recommend it to anyone!
Worth the Price! September 7, 2008
We have ZERO complaints on this item. It works as described and has no static in the reception. We have had no false alarms or anything. This helps parents have peace when putting their little ones to sleep. I would never go without this wonderful product and I recommend it to everyone with babies. My husband is a firefighter and he feels it is well worth the money.
