I have not been able to use this item, as it does not fit the stroller; and I didn't have a receipt in order to return it.
stroller umbrella - avoid cheap products that do not last July 4, 2008
Not a good product. very unstable. After about 2 weeks of use it began tearing apart.
Only good for use on top of stroller May 30, 2008
Since I like to take my baby for walks every day, I bought this umbrella to block the sunlight that shines toward the front and sides of his stroller (the rays the stroller canopy doesn't shield). The clamp isn't quite strong enough to hold the umbrella when it's at an angle, and it looks like it will eventually snap. Also, while you can release the umbrella from the clamp easily, it is a bit of a hassle to move the clamp. It's very annoying having to unscrew and re-adjust the clamp every time I make a turn down another street. I'm planning on sending mine back since I don't think it will last very long and because it is so inconvenient.

I am not into big strollers that are like SUVs on the road of strollers. So, we have a Maclaren Quest, their umbrella stroller line. It has a hood on it but, sometimes, the sun finds ways to our baby's eyes. So, what a good idea to buy a sun parasol. Well, while it fits the stroller very well and is quite versatile in its positioning, I have two concerns that for others may be okay.
1) The parasol sits to the side of the buggy, which can be cumbersome in passing people in crowded or tight spaces.
2) Even it's positioning doesn't always block the sun.
What I especially like like about this parasol is
1) it easily and quickly removes from its base, so when you are in those crowded spots, you can get it out of the way quickly if need be.
2) The price. Look around at other stroller umbrellas, and you'll find that this is one of the cheapest, while not skimping on quality.
3) While other umbrellas come in bright colors, my thought of a sun parasol is to block sun and not heat up things underneath it. Hence, going with a white parasol is smart.
4) It is easily moved to a myriad positions.
I recommend this to any mom in a battle with the sun.
