Overrated! March 10, 2008 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Big waste of money in my opinion. The bassinet feature was useless to us because our son doesn't like lying down flat. He just recently started getting use out of the upright stroller feature (he is now 5 months old).
We live in Florida and drive practically everywhere but never take the Bugaboo with us because it's so completely cumbersome to fold and get in and out of the car! We even had the Disney tram drivers yelling at us because we couldn't fold the stroller in time (sorry for anyone who was on that tram with us)! Oh and if you travel (fly) a lot, forget it! You'll need to check this buggy in that's for sure (and buy the $160 carrying case if you don't want it shredded by the time you pick it up at your destination)! Unfortunately, the only time we are able to use this stroller is to go on walks around the neighborhood.
Another issue I have with Bugaboo is that ambiguous guide they refer to as "directions"...as if! It completely lacks clear direction and leaves you guessing what should go where...not good for any product, particularly one that costs so much!
Great for walks, but not for getting in and out of vehicle December 29, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My husband bought this stroller for me when our son was 5 months old so I haven't been able to use the bassinet. We live in Phoenix, so my husband bought the canopy with ventilation in it and my son doesn't get too hot in the summer. He seems very comfortable in the stroller and likes exercising with mommy and going on walks. I really wanted a jogging stroller with a swivel wheel because I participate in StrollerFit with my son two to three times per week so this stroller isn't great for that. I wish my hubby would have consulted me before buying such an expensive stroller that didn't really fit my needs.
Pros: comfortable for baby, easy to push and turn, shocks make for a great ride on uneven surfaces.
Cons: no cupholder - has to be purchased separately, bottom basket is barely large enough to hold my workout mat and sippy cup and snacks for my son, it's a pain to get in and out of my Pathfinder two to three times per week since I have to take the seat off every time I put it in the SUV, the stroller takes up so much room in the back on my SUV that it is very difficult to go grocery shopping with it, no snack/drink tray for baby - this wasn't such an issue when my son was younger, but now that he is one year old, he likes to eat A LOT and there is no place for him to have a snack.
Overall, I do like this stroller. It is good for shopping at the mall and walks in the neighborhood. I think I am going to bite the bullet and spend ANOTHER $400 on a BOB Revolution and accessories so I can jog with it.
