Love the Bumbleride Rocket September 4, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I read every review I could find about this stroller before we bought it. When I finally found one in town, I was so disappointed because I could not steer it without a great deal of effort. Knowing, from my research, that Bumbleride has great costumer service, I wrote them immediately. I was promptly instructed on how to correct the problem so I ordered mine online. When it arrived, it had the same problem as the one in the store, so I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly! Now it steers like a dream. Other things I've noticed, 1. The cup holder, while it seems flimsy, is deep (unlike the cup holders on my Snap-n-Go) and it expands which I also find I like a lot. 2. I love the way the foot rest curls up. My infant loves to stretch his little legs, so he ends up pushing off it and it keeps him from sliding down into a recline. 3. The basket underneath is very easy to access and holds a lot. 4. Very smooth ride on gravel and grass. 5. We can remove all the fabric but just the seat cushion for warm walks in AZ. With the light color, I don't worry that it's baking him, unlike all the dark colored strollers out there. 6. Best of all, the color is adorable. We got the bamboo and it is the cutest stroller at every event. Of course that wouldn't matter if the quality wasn't there, but it is. We are so glad we got this stoller.
Very smooth ride August 10, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is a great stroller. It looks fantastic and the bamboo color is so fresh - works really well in the Californian climate. The seat on this stroller is so big that my 201b baby girl, almost disapears into it, she has so much space and loves not being all cramped up. She has room for lots of her toys and blankies to sit right next to her. I love the way the stroller also reclines almost flat, when she's asleep its like she's in a bed. Considering its a jogging stroller, it folds up pretty small and fits into the non-existant trunk of our Chevy Tahoe, we don't even have to remove the wheels. It's also pretty lightweight and a nice change from the heavy graco tour that I used to have. My son also pinched his finger badly after folding it but I have had no problems so I think you just need to be careful. I love the look of it and have lots of stroller envy.
Stylin' Stroller June 21, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a very nice stroller. Being a first time Mom, I agonized over what to buy. Price and styling, as well as function were my criteria. The bamboo color is awesome, a neato grassy-avacado shade. The stroller is lighweight and easy to fold up. It fits in the back portion of my VW Jetta wagon. If you have a smaller baby like me (2 1/2 month old, 10 lbs) you'll want to use this stroller with your carseat. Otherwise, the stroller harness will be swimming around your baby! I have a Graco Snugride, and it fits great. What's neat, is the carseat fits backward, so you can see your baby as you walk. That was really nice, and my baby liked that. The canopy used in conjunction with the carseat canopy provides 95% shade for baby. There's a small window in the stroller's shade canopy, so you can see your baby. The wheels are really big, and good quality. I used it on the bikepath today, and it has a smooth ride. The adjustable handle is pretty cool too. What's nice is the weight limit is 45lbs. You'll be able to have this stroller for at least 3 years, as your baby grows! That was a nice factor, not all jog style strollers have the carseat adapter thingy. So that makes this stroller a good one for me. DRAWBACKS: 1)When folding you can pinch your finger, or hand badly. I did right off the bat, and then again. With practice, I am sure I will get the hang of it.
2)The swivel front wheel doesn't function flawlessly. It kicks around and snaps into stationary position. It's not that big of a deal since I was able to walk 2 miles just fine. It's more af an annoyance, and I am going to see if my husband can modify it. (* take off the spin/lock gizmo on the front wheel, and steering will be flawless. It's easy to do!)
That said, that's why i rated this stroller 4 out of 5 stars. I would buy it again, despite these small drawbacks. It's well thought out, and very sporty-cute. the color range is really nice! After using it for almost 2 years, the stroller has been a great investment!
