Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Great stroller BUT....   May 23, 2008
4 out of 4 found this review helpful

I did a LOT of research before buying this stroller, I compared with the bugaboo cameleon and I decided to get this one instead. It is a great one, however now that my baby is 7 months old I don't think this is the best stroller for her...

Pros:
* Great size and very accessible basket (I even put my small dog in it when he gets tired walking)
* Drives smooth and easy to handle with just one hand
* Wheels don't go flat (which is something really bothered me about the bugaboo)
* Adjustable handle for my tall husband
* It is a high stroller so my baby can seat on the stroller and still be at the table's level when we are in a restaurant
* Very sturdy and well made

Cons:
* It is WIDE, when I am in stores at the mall, I am always bumping into rack bases, clothes and all kinds of things. When walking with other moms I am always bumping into their strollers with my wheels
* It is heavy and bulky when folded, I have a small SUV and it still does not leave a lot of space for groceries and other stuff.
* The reclining does not go very straight or very flat (this is the worst part of all) being a new parent I thought that 3 seat positions were enough for my baby, I was sooo wrong!! I don't know about other babies but she wants to be either straighter to see everything, or very reclined to take naps. Since this stroller does not have any of those features, she gets up very frustrated. I don't think she totally hates the stroller, but she does not like it either. Too much time in it, and she gets very fussy, especially if she is tired. I compared this stroller with the cameleon in every aspect but this one, and I really regret it.

In conclusion, although it is a good stroller, because of the weight, the bulkiness AND the reclining restrictions, I need another stroller now, which really bothers me because we are talking about a $600 stroller. Think twice about getting it, especially if you are first time parent.

4 out of 5 stars Great stroller for tall parents   May 11, 2008
This is a great stroller, much lower in cost than a bugaboo, with just as many cool features. Things about it that I love:

-Works great as a mobile bassinet in the house
-Big basket for all your stuff
-Handle raises quite high, high enough for my 6'7" husband
-Baby sits higher than other stroller, I have to bend over less
-Fits easily into the trunk of my Honda Civic
-Newborn friendly, with bassinet or seat
-Baby can face you or out
-Company is extremely eco-friendly
-Tires can't go flat
-Manuvers very well
-High Quality materials and construction
-Good suspension & ride for baby

Things I don't like:
-Heavy
-Bassinet very warm (Not so great in FL summer)
-Difficult to adjust straps of seat

All in all, great high end stroller. I was considering the Valco baby stoller, but opted for this one instead after giving them both a try.

4 out of 5 stars Very happy with it!   February 27, 2008

We bought ours September '07, $599 in green - looks awesome!

We moved here from Europe a year ago and our first choice was Bagaboo, since we knew the brand from there. We started browsing the web and came across Uppa baby. Just as someone wrote, it was love at first sight.

We went to a baby store here in Phx to try it out - what a great product! You can push it and manouvre with one finger and I'm not kidding. Big wheels make it move smoothly and easy. Bassinet is big, our baby has more than enough space and he's now 5 months and 18lbs. It is easy to attach/detach the bassinet to the fram once you've done it a couple of times. First time was kind of a weird, I was afraid I would break something cause it from plastic. Well I haven't break it so far and we're really happy with it. We haven't started using the seat yet.

Bag underneath the bassinet is huge, you can store pretty much all you need - diaper bag, groceries, bag etc.... Great stuff, very good ergonomics.

Cons: frame is on a heavy side and tires are showing sings of wear on the outside tread.

5 out of 5 stars Well worth the money!   February 11, 2008

We have had our UPPAbaby Vista since 7/2007. It is wonderful! It is so well made. We were looking at the bugaboo as well, but after test driving both the Vista won hands down. In my opinion it is a better quality stroller.
We use the BOB stroller caddy for drinks, keys ect.. it fits just fine.

5 out of 5 stars I love my Uppababy!   December 5, 2007

I got my Uppababy in the fall of 2006. I had fallen in love with the Quinny Buzz while in Europe but the cost of importing one (this was prior to their US release) got me looking at other strollers that were currently available in the US that might be less expensive. I thought the Bugaboo was too trendy so that was not on my list. I searched and searched and finally came across the Uppababy Vista and it was love at first sight.

I use my Uppababy almost daily, and it is definitely showing some wear, especially the tire treads. But I probably put 10-20 miles per week on it so the wear is to be expected. While this isn't the lightest stroller ever, it is really versatile and so easy and comfortable to use. I am constantly taking it in and out of my trunk one-handed and have almost no trouble. The HUGE basket underneath absolutely cannot be beat! It holds my big diaper bag, a laptop bag, groceries, a soft-sided cooler, all kinds of stuff!

My only issue with the Vista is that there are no good places to "grab" the folded stroller to hoist it into the trunk. I'm always grabbing the seat legrest, which is a no-no. I would like to see a webbing strap or 2 of some kind on the frame to help with a handle for lifting.

I recommend looking for the Jolly Jumper stroller caddy to attach to the top for drinks, keys, cellphone, etc. I also recommend buying the travel bag if you intend to take this stroller on any flights. Mine got pretty beat-up, even with it being gate-checked. Nothing's broken, but it's got some knicks and scratches.

Get it! You'll love it! And you hardly ever see other people with them.
