Great Mobile November 8, 2008 This is a great mobile, can be used attached to the crib or will stand alone, which is a fantastic feature. Gotta love the remote too. Songs are good and there are enough that cycle through so that you don't get sick of the same one over and over. My baby loves this mobile, it is sweet with the mama and baby birds. I definitely recommend it.
Never worked October 6, 2008 My sister in law bought this on Amazon and had it shipped to me. I didn't open it for like 6 months (till I had the baby). Went to use it and the stupid thing was broken, played music, but no movement. It was too late to return it. I remember the old school mobiles, they worked!
Great mobile ... once we FIXED it!! July 25, 2008 I loved this mobile from the moment I laid eyes on it however it was defective from the moment I assembled it!! I was so disappointed but I refused to return it so I asked my husband to open it up and take a look at it. Turns out, two tiny rubber washers had slipped out of place. Once my husband slipped them back, the mobile worked great!
I would not recommend this to a friend unless they were willing to accept that it might have the same defect as mine (I read a few reviews that it was often deffective) and they are willing and able to repair it themselves. I hope Fisher Price is working on fixing this defect and will be putting it back on the store shelves soon! I wonder if this is why they stopped producing them in the first place.
18 Months and Still Flying June 19, 2008 We bought this for our then 3-month old daughter after she first experienced it during an unfortunate hospital stay because she seemed to like it a lot. 18 months later she STILL loves it. They say take it down at around 10 months when your child is able to stand and reach it but that hasn't been a problem for us. "Birds" was one of her first words, and at this point she's figured out how to turn it on and off. Every child's taste is different but ours has loved this product for almost all of her life.
