Never could get too comfy. August 28, 2008 I ordered this during my twin pregnancy but found it too tight in places and never wore it much. Plus I was embarrassed by how it would show under my clothing. Maybe if I'd had to be on my feet more, I'd have liked it better.
good for comfort, bad for fashion May 26, 2008 This is a good support garment, but I have to wear something under it so it doesn't dig into my skin. Also, the shoulder straps show with almost any shirt except crew neck. Basically I can't wear it to work with nice shirts, but I can put on a tank top, then the cradle, and then a T-shirt over it and it's great for running around on the weekends.
Great support! January 27, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am pregnant with twins so there is a lot of pressure on my back. This cradle helps to support my tummy and takes weight off the back.
So much better than the alternatives... November 1, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm pregnant with twins and have been getting a lot of back pain and abdominal strain which I know will just keep getting more pronounced as I get bigger so I have been looking for a support garment. I borrowed one of the single-strap type supports you can get at Motherhood and I found that to be really uncomfortable - it was uncomfortable while I was sitting down, it didn't stay in place very well and rather than help with the pressure on my bladder, it made it feel worse. Clearly I needed something better. I ordered this prenatal cradle and had a lot of relief immediately. It has seriously improved my lower and upper back pain and abdominal strain. I find it easier to lift and carry things and just getting up off the couch is easier. The "adjustablility" of this model was one of the reasons I bought it and I have to say, its nothing to write home about (3 sets of hooks that are pretty widely spaced) but better than nothing. The company says this will fit 150 - 220 lbs. I am 156 lbs and found I have to wear it on the middle set of hooks to avoid uncomfortable compression but maybe thats just how I'm carrying. All in all, I would say if you are getting big and don't have super-strong core muscles, this support can really help improve your pregnancy experience. I wish I hadn't waited to buy this - get it before you HAVE to have it and save yourself some pain.
Not what I expected.... September 23, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Nine years ago when I had my second child I had the type that went over and under my belly...which was great but of course I've since given it away. With this child, I decided to buy this adjustable prenatal cradle and it was okay...yes, it supported the weight of my belly but didn't give me enough back support that I required and to add to that it wasn't really user-friendly (so to speak), meaning it only had 3 choices to choose from to adjust for size...once you've outgrown the last eye & hook because you estimate the size you'll get but don't expect to exceed that size, it's useless....the previous one I had (9 yrs ago) was velcro style which held up wonderfully and I wish I would've stuck with that same style which would've saved me some money.
