surprised how well it works! October 8, 2008 I was going to rent a doppler but then I found this and the reviews convinced me to give it a try. I was not expecting much for the price but boy was I wrong! I received this when I was 14 weeks almost 15 weeks. I took it out of the box to try it as soon as it arrived and with my 3 year olds help I was able to find the heartbeat within 5 min! We were both very excited! I would recommend this to anyone debating renting or buying. Just be sure to use enough gel.
Best money I ever spent October 1, 2008 Other than my gps I think this may be the best money I ever spent. It is such a relief to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I want and know that he's ok. Having suffered a loss before this puts my mind at ease. I got the unit at 16 weeks and was able to find the heartbeart within 10 mins of my 1st try. I usually find it right away.
I have had problems with static before, but only maybe 2-3 times at most. If you have static try wiping off the probe & your belly and start fresh. For some reason that works for me. Also if you are having trouble finding the heartbeat try angling the probe down a little towards your feet instead of perpindicular to your belly. It helps a lot. Good luck, if you buy this monitor you won't be dissapointed!
Takes practice September 30, 2008 It takes some practice to find the spot where the heartbeat is, but once you find it sounds clear. It is easy if you are wearing headphones. It gives peace of mind to know that everything "sounds" fine.
Very satisfied, nice not to rent September 29, 2008 My last pregnancy I rented a Doppler. I loved having the peace of mind that everything was okay if I didn't feel the baby move and feeling a connection early on in the pregnancy. The quality of this Doppler is equal to the rental and far less expensive. The BPM is also very nice to have rather than counting. The cost of this is equal to three months of rental. I paid for a total of eight months last time after forgetting to return it. This will also be a wonderful thing to pass on to other future mothers in our family.
Worth the Price September 24, 2008 I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and my husband was able to find baby's heartbeat within seconds on our first use of the Hi Bebe BT-200 fetal doppler. He just went for the same location that my OB/GYN used during my last prenatal visit and got lucky. Being a first time mom, I am still not at the point where I can feel baby kick so for me this is worth the price for some personal reassurance. We paid $115 with free shipping. I only wish that I had heard about this product sooner!
