If I could only use one kind of diaper, I'd choose Bamboozles July 7, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Bamboozles are my absolute favorite diaper. My mom gifted us with 4 to try right after we'd started using cloth on our newborn son and we've been using them since he was 3 weeks old. He's now almost 7 months and still fits into the small size of Bamboozles (at 17 lbs.), and we've been using a few of the large size as well.
After 6 months of use (and twice-weekly laundering on an extra-hot sanitizing cycle & mostly line drying) the small size Bamboozles are still in perfect condition- the unbleached color has faded quite white and they have no stains whatsoever. The snaps are well-positioned and these diapers can go directly from your baby to the laundry pail; no fastening of closures or laundry tabs is necessary.
They are terrific for nighttime- we've never had a leak- and even the newborn blowouts were unable to escape this diaper. On top of it all, they're cute and really soft, even after line-drying. Even when the Bamboozle is soaked, my baby's bottom remains quite dry. I like to use them with a paper liner wrapped around the sewn-in doubler for easy poop removal. For such an absorbent diaper, they are pretty trim as well.
I should mention that they are slower to dry than any other diaper that we've used (including all-in-ones), but this has not been an issue as we live in a dry climate. If you want them to be super soft (the fabric fibers are almost silky when new), use the dryer rather than a clothesline. Line drying makes them a bit rougher feeling, though this will not affect their absorbency.
These work well with any roomy diaper cover- I prefer Wonder Wraps, but also use Imse Vimse and Bummis Super Whisper Wraps.
