Exactly what I needed September 8, 2008 I have so many platex cups where my son has chewed on the lids but the cups are just fine. I oreded these as well as some replacement valves and these came and all three lids had valves as well so now I really have extra. Great product and much cheaper than buying all new cups for my next kiddo!
Like buying lids without having to buy entire cup! January 18, 2008 I like being able to replace the lids without having to purchase the entire cup (which is still in good shape). Even the valves last a long time. Unfortunately, the need to replace the lids alone arises from the difficulty in cleaning them! They have deep crevices around the inside of the spout and are almost impossible to access (I've tried toothbrushes, toothpicks, dish brushes, bottle brushes, etc). But these cups do not leak, so we've continued to use them.
Nice to have replacement lids... July 24, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Washing these playtex sipsters is awful. They have a nice juice flow and pretty leak proof, so easy for my kids to drink from which is the only reason I have them. There are nooks underneath the lid that you have to clean with a toothpick to reach into. After a while they get some gunk, it would probably be better with a dishwashing machine but I don't have one. I have a bottle scrubber and the smaller cone pipe cleaner brush for nipples, which is great for cleaning the plugs. But for hand washing these cups are awful. I bought several brands and tried to drink from them myself. This one had the best flow, not requiring too much suction so was easy for my girls to transition from the bottle. My 2nd one I tried her at 6 months and she was able to drink the first sipster, and was off the bottle by 9 months. So buy some replacement lids, no need to throw away the lower half when the lids get worn out.
