Sugar-Free & Excellent! February 6, 2008 We have been using this Schiff Children's Chewable for 2 years. Both our children take these and they love them. There is no sugar in them and they are not in shapes of Disney & TV characters...Yay! It is true that they are sweet and yummy like candy--and that's because they AREN'T candy. Everything need not taste like sugar and candy. This is something with medicinal properties and to equate medicine as "Yummy" is ridiculous. It should taste different. It is the same with vegetables--why do so many American kids have "issues" with vegetables? This is not the case in other countries. That is why people are dying in this country of drug overdoses and obesity on a regular basis. The relationship to medication should be established early on in a child's life. Medicine is medicine and candy is candy. Period.
Tastes Awful January 5, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
These vitamins were recommended to me by a physician for their nutritional value but, they smell & taste horrible. -- The "Cherry" flavor in these vitamins is not nearly enough to cover the overwhelming "vitamin-y" smell/taste. -- I wound up purchasing Centrum Kids Dora the Explorer vitamins because my children (3 & 6) like the taste. I hated to do it because the first ingredient listed is sucrose (sugar) and I do my best to be as health concious & all natural/organic for my boys as I can, but -- the vitamins won't do any good if your children won't eat them.
