very useful September 8, 2008 What a great idea these are. I bought them for a trip to Antigua with 6 month old twins, and was really glad I did. We experimented with putting them on the top of the stroller, on the babies legs, arms, and heads, on the diaper bag, and also just stuck on furniture in the hotel room. You could really see the difference in terms of which areas got more sun exposure. Once we had confidence in them they were both very useful and very comforting. Useful in that there were times they alerted us to areas of the babies that were getting the most exposure, as well as just letting us know when they had gotten a lot of sun exposure in general. Comforting because I could keep an eye on the stickers and otherwise relax in the knowledge that we had a handle on how much sun they were getting.
By the end of the trip the babies had not burnt at all. I've used them at home as well when taking them out for walks during the day.
Won't replace reapplying sunscreen July 22, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think they had great intentions but it doesn't mean you don't have to pay attention to what is going on with your child. Burns happen way too easy, especially in warmer states. I just think that you can use your "momsense" to keep your child safe, I don't think a sticker will keep you from letting your child get a sunburn!
Helps you decide when to apply more sunscreen September 12, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We bought the Huggies Little Swimmers Sun Sensors for a recent trip to a local amusement park. We have a 5 1/2 year old, a 2 1/2 year old, and a 4 month old and I wanted to make sure baby didn't get too much sun. Since he's so little, I don't use any sunscreen on him. The Sun Sensors worked great! I put one on each of the kids and tried to keep baby in shade. I reapplied sunscreen only one during the day, and the older kids didn't even get a tan (graet!!) and the baby stayed "baby white". I just bought a 4 pack of 24 sunsensors to take on our upcoming trip to Disney World. If you want to watch how much sun your child/ren get, then this is the product for you. It will help you to decide when to apply more sunscreen, and will let you know if you're keeping kids in the shade enough.
