The Body Knows Diet July 5, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
FABULOUS! This book is the KEY to balancing your body and being your ideal weight and Feeling fabulous! I have all the diet books and NOW I have found a book that WORKS for me and apparently everyone who does it. Food allergies.like wheat, dairy, soy, corn and yeast can cause bloating, weight gain and all sorts of physical problem like diabetes. I don't know many people who like to be fat. Somehow wearing a maturnity swim suit when one is not pregant, does little for the self esteem. GET THIS BOOK! I no longer feel fatique and the weight is melting off. My body knows what it doesn't like and I feel so good that I feel like dancing and running and walking and hiking. No more aches and pains. I have real energy. I am so grateful to Caroline Sutherland for sharing her wisdom. I also love the CD that comes with this book. It makes me relax into a deep sleep. I also have the DVD of Caroline lecturing. I highly recommend the book, CD and DVD. The DVD has a lot of valuable information. GET THEM ALL and feel great! I'd give this rating a 10 but it only goes up to 5. So 5 it is.

Caroline Sutherland's book has transformed my life. Not only is it helping me lose excess weight, it has also brought me to a greater understanding of how my body works and how to interpret what it has been trying to tell me for years. With her intuitive guidance, experience, wisdom and passion, Caroline fearlessly leads the way to victory, for all of us. You do not have to anguish any more over your weight, food or body image. Allow Caroline's weight-loss program to lift you to new heights, as it has for me. I highly recommend this book.
Good Ideas February 23, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book had some great ideas and concepts. They are idea's that i have actually been thinking about myself, that's why i bought the book. She also gives some great tips, however I'm not sure about eliminating all the things she says from my diet. She said herself that she just went to an allergist to figure out what she was allergic to, so basically this book just made me want to go to an allergist first before even trying her diet. Because what if you come to find out that you're only allergic to one of the things and have been cutting everything else out of my diet when you dont need to. Another thing about this book that was sort of annoying is that she repeated herself over and over again, so it basically felt like you were just reading the same 2 paragraphs over and over again just written 5 different ways, it was this way for the whole book. And anotehr thing that bugged me was that there were a lot of grammatical errors, now i know that i'm not the best at writing nor am i an english major. But when it comes to books that are dealing w/ your health is does look really unprofessional and makes you almost second guess the information being told. So basically i would recommend this book as a stepping stone to an overweight person to possibly take allergies into consideration for their problem.
I have clear breathing ... October 16, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This book has been one of the best things I have done for myself in years. I have had a stuffed up head and sinus condition for decades. Doctors give me medicine, which does not deal with the cause and creates other problems.
I find I have an allergy to corn and wheat, which appears to be in everything and after less than a week of eliminating corn and wheat I can breathe clearly and deeply and I don't cough in the mornings. I am thrilled. I am working with the book and checking out dairy products too.
I was not looking for a diet book; however I lost alittle weight already too.
Your body Knows!! October 12, 2005 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is more than a Diet Book!It explains your moods and why your body reacts to foods the way they do. Some foods give you energy and some can cause fatigue,by listening to your body you can easily tell which. Nutrition programs offered advice that did not take into consideration possible food allergies. The implications of not knowing this is frightening! This isn't adiet book that says eat this not that.It guides you on your own personal path.
