Product Description Designed in Italy, the Smart Support Backpack has a height adjustable seat pad to give your child just the right ride. The energy absorbing lumbar padding helps reduce strain on parents' shoulders and back. The frame is made of lightweight yet sturdy aluminum, so it's easy to go everywhere with baby. The canopy is water-resistant and has a sun visor and zip-off rain cover with ventilation holes. A fanny pack and cell phone case are included. The fabric can be sport washed in cold water for ease of care and maintenance.

excellent buy October 1, 2008 I bought this for aholiday to Croatia with my 16month old daughter. Shes about 25lbs. It was a brilliant buy. She loves it and I was able to go for long walks around the cobbled streets and the city walls of Dubrovnik. She was delighted to get into it as it gives her a great view of everything. I can put her into it and then collapse the frame and put it on my back all quite easily on my own so you dont need any help to use it. Also, it was quite comfortable. Plenty of padding and good lumbar support. The built in hood is also excellent for both sun and rain. Only negative is the lack of storage on it. Its got one small bum-bag type pouch built in.
Able to Go Where Others With Kids Dare Not June 9, 2008 This carrier frees us to go hiking with our 22 pound child and it works really well. I'm a 61 year old grandma and I can easily carry my grandchild on my back with this. It also frees up my hands so I can carry a leash and walk my dogs while carrying my granddaughter on my back. She enjoys the scenery and we get our exercise.
hard on my back May 20, 2008 i had this product for about two weeks and i must say it was really helpful. but for me it hurt my back. the hard plastic cut into my lower back a bit and also i felt that the weight wasn't on my shoulders enough, therefore making my back and shoulders sore. my husband on the other hand didn't complain a bit he liked it. he is a lot taller than me too. he's 6'5" and i'm 5'8". i think that has to do with it a lot. if you are tall and/or have a long torso this back pack is gonna work for you. all the features are great. though there aren't very many! the chest strap that some people said wasn't long enough definitely is. and the stand definitely does open and close with out pushing a bottom. maybe their models were defective or something. in the end the reason we returned it it because somehow when i was closing the stand it broke and it wouldn't open or close all the way after that so it would have been very unsafe to leave my baby in it while it was standing up on a surface. that was a pretty big deal for me so i decided to return it.
Chicco Smart Support Backpack is the Best May 19, 2008 Chicco Smart Support Backpack Blue Sky The Chicco Smart Support Backpack is one of the best purchase I made this year. My grandson is supported and secure. He also enjoys the scenery. It dose not matter if we are out hiking, or doing thing around the home together. I can keep him close at the same time do little things around the home. [...]
No comfort, and rear legs broken May 17, 2008 First day out of the box, The instruction (what there is of them) said "just pull on the legs to stand it up, well they broke and one side locked in and the other side locked out. which made the stand up frame worthless. Also, for a 20lbs 11 month baby, the back was very unconfortable on the shoulders, I thought maybe it was me, so I had the wife try it, and she hated it more.
We took it back
