Product Description Inspire baby?s ability to grasp objects with the smooth, curvy Wooden Dove. The rounded, wing-shaped opening is sized perfectly for baby?s small hand, encouraging him to grasp the dove. The bright tail feathers offer a variety of textured fabrics for baby to explore and crinkle when touched. When baby is alert, touch the palm of his hand with the wooden dove and he will naturally curl his fingers around it. At birth, your baby has an inborn ability to grasp objects, which will further develop during his first year of life until he has the coordination to pick up objects and hold them securely in his hands. Hold the dove in front of baby, encouraging him to reach for it. His hand-eye coordination is developing, as well as his finger dexterity. As he gets older, baby will move the dove from hand-to-hand and explore the textured fabrics with his fingers.

Mommy likes it! August 30, 2008 It's nice smooth wood with a number of well-attached materials in it to add interest. I only docked one star because my kid enjoyed it for a little bit but soon lost interest. It's not her favorite toy, even if it's one of my favorites for her. Her favorite toys are of course the ones she's not allowed to play with. *sigh*
My baby is not a fan of this toy August 11, 2008 I'm surprised to read the many positive reviews of this toy on the site. My baby shows little interest in this, as well as the other Sassy wooden toys I purchased for her. Plus, the beak is a little sharp, and on a few occasions has come close to her eye. And it's made in China just like everything else. What's the point?
Awesome toy July 18, 2008 This toy is so fun. It's so easy to hold and is helpful for teething. Great alternative to using a plastic teething ring.
Darling Infant Toy June 28, 2008 Purchased this rattle for our newborn twins and thought it was really cute. With all the plastic toy recalls lately I thought I'd go this route and purchase toys made from natural materials. This toy has a great hand grip and bright, colorful details that incorporate color and texture. What would give this toy a five star rating would be the use of all organic materials but all in all, this is a great little toy for the very young baby to explore and I look forward to purchasing the Sassy catipillar toy in this line.
Dove rattle June 1, 2008 My son loves this rattle. I bought this one for a gift for our niece. We like the earth friendly look.
