 Nice but not very soft May 19, 2008
Great if you plan to bathe your baby in the regular tub (or a big portable tub, although I haven't managed to find one that fits), but be warned : the fabric isn't soft at all ! Our baby hates it so we have to use a towel between her and the pad : not very handy...
 Good soft bather May 9, 2008
My 5 month old starting squirming in baby bath & sliding down on the seat & leaning over the side.
I wanted a safe soft alternative. SHe can't sit up yet, so she stays put now while bathing.
It dried easily overnite by hanger. Its best if you have a towel rod in your tub though.
I wish I just bought this in place of tub to begin with.

This is a wonderful product for when your baby out grows their infant tub, but can't sit up yet in the big tub. My son loves laying on this during his bath - he loves having lots of room to kick his legs! As long as you follow the drying instructions, you should have no problems with it. Love it!
Buying this again for second child April 29, 2008
I absolutely loved this bather when my daughter was born (she is now almost 4) and now that we have a second baby I am buying it again. It supports the baby perfectly due to the fact that it has plenty of padding on both sides and in the head area. Even when my daughter got too big to use it as shown in the picture I still put it in the tub so she would have something soft and stable to sit on. She LOVED it.
Some parents have been complaining about mildew. From personal experience I NEVER had a problem with mildew and I have a very sensitive nose where mildew is concerned. I can't stand the smell and have been known to rewash things several times to get that awful stuff out. We used this pad for about 2 years with my daughter and all I ever did was rinse it thouroughly after each use and hang it up IMMEDIATELY after using it. It got washed once a month religiously in HOT, soapy, vinegar water (nothing works better on soap scum) and that was it. Easy maintenance, great product!

My son and daughter in law love the Leachco Safer Bather. Now they can bathe their new daughter with both hands. It fits nicely into one of the plastic baths and she can sit in the water, with her head out and there is no slipping and sliding and fear of dropping her. They then hang it up in the bathroom to drip dry and it is ready for the next bath!. Now everyone enjoys bath time!
